Jorge Mario Zuleta (CR)
Jorge Mario Zuleta, born June 15, 1973, is a costarican film director, producer, and editor, known primarily for his experimental short films such as Frondio (2019), Soft Calm (2015), and Cuando Ella Vuelva (2018). Zuleta is the oldest of three and was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. His father, Floresmiro Zuleta, is a lawyer. His mother, Maria Isabel Arrieta, is a chemical engineer. Zuleta has three children: Rosario, Rodrigo y Jacobo. He graduated from the Liceo de Curridabat in 1989 after a troubled youth full of bullying and several school expulsions. He was admitted to the School of Dramatic Art of the University of Costa Rica in 1991 and graduated from the National University of Colombia in 1999. He also received two design degrees. His works have been shown officially at various film festivals. He also forms part of the art-house music band GOATS published by Submarine Broadcasting Company.
