Anima is a 15 minute arrangement of sequences examining the inherent violence present within the human condition, and the implications of it in a society rampant with an ever growing ‘moving image’ archive i.e the internet. The narrative attempts to trace the psychological journey of a troubled being, placed within a world full of extremely complex meaning-making contexts. It also looks at the themes such as the transference, recurrence and origins of trauma, and the processes of socialization in a world with ever changing modes of communication and self presentation.
