Delivered as a film-letter to the protagonist\u2019s sister in rural China, the film considers his queer self-exile and the vulnerable nature of his home, relationships, and self.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HAO ZHOU (US)<\/strong><br \/>\nHAO ZHOU (b. Nanchuan, China) is a filmmaker, photographer, and actor. In 2014, Zhou wrote, directed, and produced his first feature, \u201cThe Night,\u201d about queer, young sex workers in urban China. After premiering at the Berlin International Film Festival, \u201cThe Night\u201d won top prizes at Geneva Independent, Nara, China Independent, Dong Film Fest, and others. Zhou refined his filmmaking at Cannes Film Festival\u2019s La R\u00e9sidence (Paris), MexiCannes (Guanajuato), Talents Tokyo, and Berlinale Talents.
